Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using Ready Rent (the "Platform") — including our web application and mobile app — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Platform.

Ready Rent is operated by ReadyLabs Technology Solutions. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Platform. By using Ready Rent, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You must register for an account to access most features of the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Ready Rent reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or cause harm to other users.

Users are classified as Renters (who search and book items) and Owners/Listers (who post items for rent). Some users may act in both roles.

Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including descriptions, images, pricing, and availability.

Listings must not contain false, misleading, or deceptive information. Ready Rent reserves the right to remove any listing that violates our guidelines.

Renters are responsible for using rented items responsibly and returning them in the same condition as received.

Any damage caused to a rented item during the rental period is the responsibility of the Renter.

Security deposits (where applicable, e.g., for vehicles) are refundable after the rental period, provided no damage has occurred. The full security deposit is passed to the Owner — no platform fee is deducted from deposits.

Rental periods are agreed upon at the time of booking. Extensions must be arranged directly and may incur additional charges.

Categories such as Vehicles, Repairs & Construction, Electronics, and Appliances may have specific booking conditions as determined by the listing Owner.

Platform Service Fee: Ready Rent charges a service fee of 10% on the rental amount (excluding security deposits). This fee is deducted from the total payment and retained by Ready Rent to cover platform operations.

Tax: A tax of 3% is applied to the rental subtotal at checkout.

In-Person Viewing Fee: Scheduling an in-person property viewing costs ₵100. This is paid upfront and is non-refundable.

Virtual Tour Fee: Accessing a virtual tour for a property costs ₵50. This fee is non-refundable.

Advertising Fee: Promoting your listing as a featured advertisement costs ₵15 per campaign period.

Physical Payment Threshold: Rentals with a total value of ₵10,000 or more are classified as "Physical Payment" items. These cannot be paid online and must be settled in person. The booking will be created with a "Pending" status, and the admin will update the status upon receipt of payment.

All payments are processed through Paystack, a secure PCI DSS-compliant payment gateway. Ready Rent does not store or process card details directly.

Payments are made in Ghana Cedis (GHS). Currency conversion is the responsibility of international users.

Owners receive their payout (rental amount minus platform fee, plus full security deposit) via Paystack's split payment system, directly to their registered Paystack subaccount.

Refunds for cancelled bookings are subject to the Owner's cancellation policy and must be requested within 48 hours of the booking start date.

Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Ghanaian or international law.

Posting fraudulent, misleading, or counterfeit listings.

Attempting to circumvent the Platform's payment system by conducting transactions off-platform to avoid fees.

Harassment, threats, or abusive behaviour toward other users.

Posting listings for stolen, illegal, or prohibited items.

Creating multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, reviews, or referral systems.

Introducing malware, viruses, or harmful code to the Platform.

Scraping, data-mining, or reverse-engineering any part of the Platform without written permission.

Impersonating another person or entity.

Posting adult content, hate speech, or content that discriminates based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics.

Ready Rent acts as a marketplace connecting Renters and Owners. We are not a party to any rental agreement between users.

Ready Rent is not liable for the condition, quality, safety, or legality of listed items, or for the accuracy of listings.

Ready Rent is not liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or property damage arising from rental transactions between users.

In the event of a dispute between a Renter and Owner, we encourage both parties to resolve the matter amicably. Ready Rent may, at its discretion, facilitate dispute resolution but is not obligated to do so.

Ready Rent's total liability to any user in connection with the use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid to us in fees in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We provide the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties, express or implied.

Users may leave reviews and ratings following a completed rental or transaction.

Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experience.

Reviews that are defamatory, contain personal attacks, or are fraudulent (e.g., left by competitors) will be removed.

Ready Rent reserves the right to moderate and remove reviews that violate our community guidelines.

Attempting to manipulate your own rating or that of another user (e.g., by incentivising reviews) is prohibited.

The Ready Rent platform, including its design, code, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of ReadyLabs Technology Solutions.

Users retain ownership of content they upload (e.g., listing photos, descriptions) but grant Ready Rent a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the Platform.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Ready Rent's content without written permission.

Ready Rent reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice.

We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the Platform and are not liable for downtime.

Fees, features, and policies may be updated at any time. Notice of significant changes will be provided via email or in-app notification.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
